About Vitalthings and the role

Vitalthings is a Norwegian medtech company headquartered in Trondheim. With Guardian M10 and Guardian View, we offer clinical monitoring solutions designed to support earlier recognition of patient deterioration and more informed care decisions.

We are looking for a clinically experienced professional who enjoys working directly with hospital teams and helping new technology become part of everyday care. As our first Customer Success Clinical colleague in Germany, you will initially support large university hospitals in North Rhine-Westphalia with additional customer sites as our activities expand.

Your focus will be practical implementation, user training, ongoing application support and sustained adoption. You will need credibility with both frontline nursing staff and hospital and department leadership, grounded in first-hand experience of ward work and an understanding of the realities of clinical practice.

This is a hands-on specialist position without people-management, recruitment or organisational-development responsibilities. The role is for someone motivated by delivering clinical customer-success work personally, rather than by a prospective management position.

Your responsibilities

  • Support the introduction and routine use of Guardian M10 and Guardian View, following the Vitalthings Impact Pathway, product instructions and company procedures.
  • Plan, deliver, document and follow up product and application training for nurses, physicians and other hospital users; provide refresher training and support hospital superusers.
  • Build trusted relationships with nursing teams, ward and department leadership, physicians, hospital management and relevant contacts in medical technology, IT and purchasing.
  • Be present during implementation, go-live and follow-up visits, helping teams integrate the solutions into daily ward workflows.
  • Answer first-line application questions within the scope of your training and role, follow up open issues and coordinate internal specialist support when needed.
  • Identify workflow barriers, training needs and adoption risks; agree practical actions and follow through with customers and internal colleagues.
  • Document customer contacts, training status, open issues and agreed actions in HubSpot and relevant company systems.
  • Collect, document and escalate customer feedback, complaints, usability observations and potential safety-related information in accordance with company procedures.
  • Contribute practical feedback to improve training materials, implementation checklists and customer-support processes.
  • Recognise additional customer needs and opportunities for broader use, sharing these with the commercial team and supporting customer reviews and demonstrations as needed. Pricing, contracts and sales negotiations remain with the commercial team.

Your profile

  • A completed nursing qualification or comparable clinical healthcare qualification, together with practical, first-hand hospital ward experience. This clinical foundation is essential.
  • Ideally around 5–10 years of ward experience. Candidates with fewer years are also welcome if they bring other relevant healthcare-sector experience—such as clinical project coordination, project leadership, implementation, clinical education or comparable roles—that adds credibility with nursing staff and department leadership. Such experience complements, rather than replaces, practical ward experience.
  • Experience in pneumology, gastroenterology/visceral surgery, orthopaedics, internal medicine, acute care or intermediate care is particularly welcome.
  • Fluent German, spoken and written, and good English, spoken and written. You can participate in meetings, communicate with international colleagues, write clear emails and customer summaries, and understand product, training and quality documentation.
  • The ability to explain clinical and technical information clearly, listen carefully and adapt your approach to different users and decision-makers.
  • Genuine technological curiosity: you enjoy learning about clinical technology and digital workflows, including the responsible use of AI as an everyday working tool. You respect confidentiality and data-protection requirements and use only company-approved tools and processes.
  • A proactive, reliable and structured working style, confidence working independently and strong follow-through on customer commitments.
  • Interest in why hospital customers adopt new solutions and how clinical value supports lasting customer relationships. Previous sales experience is not required.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within NRW and to other German customer sites as required, and a valid driving licence.

Previous experience in clinical applications, medical-device support, clinical education, digital-health implementation or CRM systems such as HubSpot is welcome but not essential.

What we offer

  • A direct employment position with meaningful, customer-facing clinical work.
  • Thorough product and application onboarding and support from an international team.
  • Independence in organising customer activities, with clear priorities and access to specialist support.
  • A compensation package comprising fixed salary, target bonus and mobility support.
  • Opportunities to deepen your expertise in clinical applications and customer success.

Interested?

Please submit your CV and a short note explaining why you enjoy practical clinical support, user training and helping hospital teams adopt new technology.

Vitalthings welcomes applications from all qualified candidates regardless of gender, nationality, ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability, age, sexual orientation or identity.
