Vitalthings develops world-class health technology - and now we are looking for a Design Lead / UX Designer who will help shape and build up design as a profession and method in Vitalthings. This is a unique opportunity for you who want to combine operational design work with strategic influence in a company in strong international growth.

You will play a key role in developing solutions with real value for patients, healthcare professionals and society - and in establishing structures, processes and a culture for good design work. You will have overall responsibility for the entire design process: from insight and concept development to prototypes, design system and close collaboration with developers and professionals.

At the same time, we want you to be a driving force for Promote design methodology in the company, contribute to professional development and build a strong design environment. The role gives you both influence and meaning - in a highly competent and interdisciplinary environment that develops technology for a better healthcare sector.

As Design Lead / UX Designer you will be responsible for:

• Lead and further develop design as a discipline and method in the company, with responsibility for the overall user experience in our solutions. 
• Establish and manage principles, processes and standards for UX and design quality. 
• Develop and manage the design system in close co-operation with development. 
• Develop and concretise concepts for development, and carry out insight work and user testing where relevant. 
• Facilitate interdisciplinary work processes. 
• Ensure that design work is in line with regulatory requirements and documented according to the company's quality management system (QMS). 
• Be an ambassador for design methodology and help anchor effective methods and user focus in the company. 

We are looking for you who have:

• Relevant higher education
• Experience as a UX designer, service designer or equivalent - with the ability to work independently and structured throughout the design process
• Experience in design management - both professional and strategic
• Good collaborative skills and confidence in interdisciplinary processes, preferably with experience from product development in technology companies
• Practical experience with development and management of design systems
• Experience with relevant design tools and methodology
• Interest in or experience with health technology
• Very good communication skills, both oral, written and visual - in Norwegian and English
