Norlandia Care Norway and Vitalthings have entered into a partnership to introduce proactive, contactless health monitoring in the healthcare sector. The aim is to enhance patient safety, contribute to better resource utilisation, facilitate more informed decisions and develop new solutions that will help the healthcare sector manage a growing number of increasingly complex patients.
About Norlandia Care Norway
Norlandia Care provides health and care services on behalf of, and in close collaboration with, local authorities, hospitals and health trusts in Norway. Norlandia operates care homes, home care services, patient accommodation and rehabilitation facilities.
Under the agreement, Norlandia will be implementing Vitalthings’ Guardian H10 – the next generation of digital monitoring. A new contactless health monitor designed to reduce the need for physical checks, particularly at night. The Guardian H10 is without the use of cameras or sensors on the body, making it minimally invasive and well-suited the user’s safety and comfort. This is in line with Norlandia Care Norway’s vision, which is to improve the daily lives of residents, patients, service users and their families – whilst ensuring that staff receive better support in an increasingly demanding working environment.
“We are seeing a growing need for solutions that both enhance patient safety and free up time for what matters most: human interaction. Technology should not replace care, but support it,” says Ida Eide, Director of Norlandia Care Norway.
Demand for proactive solutions
The Vitalthings Guardian H10 was launched in February last year and has already been taken into use in many local authorities.
– We are delighted about this partnership with Norlandia – an organisation that is innovative, both in the way it is structured, in the delivery of its services and, not least, in how it ensures the safety of its residents. We look forward to this partnership to make our solutions available to even more healthcare professionals and users,” says Heidi Blengsli Aabel, Chief Commercial Officer at Vitalthings.
Under the agreement between Norlandia Care Norway and Vitalthings, the Vitalthings Guardian H10 will initially be installed and put into use at Bjølsenhjemmet and Abildsøhjemmet in Oslo, both of which are operated by Norlandia.

Proactive, contactless health monitor for local authorities
Vitalthings Guardian H10 reduces the need for physical inspections and does not require the use of a camera or body-worn sensors, which is less intrusive in terms of patient safety and user comfort.
