1. Contactless measurement of breathing and heart rate: Trondheim-based Vitalthings has developed the world's first contactless patient monitor for measuring breathing and pulse. This gives healthcare professionals a better overview of patients through continuous monitoring directly from the phone. Patients feel safer and hospitalisation times are reduced. The solution has passed the acceptance test with St. Olav's Hospital and is expected to receive medical approval in 2024.

2. Control tower for operation planning: Oslo University Hospital (OUS) has developed a digital planning tool that simplifies and streamlines its operating theatre operations. This reduces the number of cancelled operations, improves the working day for staff and increases the utilisation of operating theatres. The solution has passed the acceptance test with OUS and is ready to be adopted by more hospitals.

3. Find your way in hospital: Trondheim-based company MazeMap has developed a mapping solution that helps patients, visitors and hospital staff find their way to the right room. This makes patients and visitors more self-reliant, and saves the hospital time, resources and money by preventing patients from getting lost and arriving late for their appointments. The solution went live at Sunnaas Hospital in autumn 2023. You'll also hear about MazeMap's newly developed solution that helps hospital staff find the location of medical equipment.
