About Vitalthings and its role

Vitalthings is a Norwegian medtech company headquartered in Trondheim. With Guardian M10 and Guardian View, we offer clinical monitoring solutions designed to support the earlier detection of patient deterioration and more informed care decisions.

We are looking for a clinically experienced professional who enjoys working directly with hospital teams and helping new technology become part of everyday care. As our first Customer Success Clinical colleague in Germany, you will initially support large university hospitals in North Rhine-Westphalia, with additional customer sites to be added as our activities expand.

Your focus will be on practical implementation, user training, ongoing application support and ensuring sustained adoption. You will need to have credibility with both frontline nursing staff and hospital and departmental management, based on first-hand experience of ward work and an understanding of the realities of clinical practice.

This is a hands-on specialist role with no responsibilities for people management, recruitment or organisational development. The role is suited to someone motivated by personally delivering clinical customer success, rather than by the prospect of a management position.

Your responsibilities

  • Support the introduction and routine use of Guardian M10 and Guardian View, in accordance with the Vitalthings Impact Pathway, product instructions and company procedures.
  • Plan, deliver, document and follow up on product and application training for nurses, doctors and other hospital staff; provide refresher training and support hospital super-users.
  • Build trusted relationships with nursing teams, ward and department management, doctors, hospital management and relevant contacts in medical technology, IT and procurement.
  • Be present during implementation, go-live and follow-up visits, helping teams to integrate the solutions into their day-to-day ward workflows.
  • Answer first-line support enquiries within the scope of your training and role, follow up on outstanding issues and coordinate internal specialist support where necessary.
  • Identify workflow barriers, training needs and adoption risks; agree on practical actions and follow through with customers and internal colleagues.
  • Record customer contacts, training status, outstanding issues and agreed actions in HubSpot and the relevant company systems.
  • Collect, document and escalate customer feedback, complaints, usability observations and potential safety-related information in accordance with company procedures.
  • Provide practical feedback to help improve training materials, implementation checklists and customer support processes.
  • Identify additional customer needs and opportunities for wider use, sharing these with the commercial team and supporting customer reviews and demonstrations as required. Pricing, contracts and sales negotiations remain the responsibility of the commercial team.

Your profile

  • A completed nursing qualification or a comparable clinical healthcare qualification, together with practical, first-hand experience of working on a hospital ward. This clinical foundation is essential.
  • Ideally, around 5–10 years’ ward experience. Candidates with fewer years’ experience are also welcome if they have other relevant experience in the healthcare sector—such as clinical project coordination, project leadership, implementation, clinical education or comparable roles—which lends credibility with nursing staff and departmental management. Such experience complements, rather than replaces, practical ward experience.
  • Experience in respiratory medicine, gastroenterology/visceral surgery, orthopaedics, internal medicine, acute care or intermediate care is particularly welcome.
  • Fluent German, both spoken and written, and a good command of English, both spoken and written. You will be able to take part in meetings, communicate with international colleagues, write clear emails and customer summaries, and understand product, training and quality documentation.
  • The ability to explain clinical and technical information clearly, listen carefully and adapt your approach to different users and decision-makers.
  • A genuine curiosity about technology: you enjoy learning about clinical technology and digital workflows, including the responsible use of AI as an everyday working tool. You respect confidentiality and data protection requirements and use only company-approved tools and processes.
  • A proactive, reliable and structured approach to work, the ability to work confidently on one’s own, and a strong commitment to following through on customer commitments.
  • An interest in why hospital customers adopt new solutions and how clinical value helps to build lasting customer relationships. Previous sales experience is not required.
  • A willingness to travel regularly within North Rhine-Westphalia and to other German customer sites as required, and a valid driving licence.

Previous experience in clinical applications, medical device support, clinical education, digital health implementation or CRM systems such as HubSpot is welcome but not essential.

What we offer

  • A direct employment role involving meaningful, customer-facing clinical work.
  • Comprehensive product and application onboarding and support from an international team.
  • Independence in organising customer activities, with clear priorities and access to specialist support.
  • A remuneration package comprising a fixed salary, a target bonus and mobility support.
  • Opportunities to develop your expertise in clinical applications and customer success.

Interested?

Please submit your CV and a brief note explaining why you enjoy providing practical clinical support, delivering user training and helping hospital teams adopt new technology.

Vitalthings welcomes applications from all qualified candidates, regardless of gender, nationality, ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability, age, sexual orientation or identity.
