Norlandia Care Norge and Vitalthings have entered into a partnership to introduce proactive, contactless health monitoring in the health service. The aim is to improve patient safety, contribute to better resource utilisation, facilitate more informed decisions and develop new solutions that will help the health service manage more and more complex users.
About Norlandia Care Norway
Norlandia Care delivers health and care services on behalf of and in close co-operation with municipalities, hospitals and health trusts in Norway. Norlandia operates nursing homes, home care services, patient hotels and rehabilitation programmes.
Through the agreement, Norlandia is utilising Vitalthing's Guardian H10 - the next generation of digital monitoring. A new contactless health monitor that will reduce the need for physical supervision, especially at night. Guardian H10 is without the use of cameras or sensors on the body, making it non-intrusive and well customised user safety and comfort. This is in line with Norlandia Care Norway's vision, which is to make everyday life better for residents, patients, users and their families - while at the same time providing employees with better support in an increasingly demanding working day.
- "We see a growing need for solutions that both strengthen patient safety and free up time for what matters most: human encounters. Technology should not replace care, but support it," says Ida Eide, Director of Norlandia Care Norway.
Demand for proactive solutions
Vitalthing's Guardian H10 was launched in February last year and has already been adopted by many municipalities.
- "We are very excited about this collaboration with Norlandia - a player that is innovative, both in the way they organise themselves, in the provision of the service and, not least, how they create security for the residents. We look forward to this collaboration to make our solutions available to even more healthcare professionals and users," says Heidi Blengsli Aabel, Chief Commercial Officer at Vitalthings.
The agreement between Norlandia Care Norway and Vitalthings means that Vitalthings Guardian H10 will initially be installed and taken into use at Bjølsenhjemmet and Abildsøhjemmet in Oslo, both of which are operated by Norlandia.
Digital supervision provides benefits in terms of finances, working environment and patient safety
Digital inspection with the use of radar provides millions in savings, a better working environment for employees and increased patient safety.

Proactive and contactless health monitor for municipalities
Vitalthings Guardian H10 reduces the need for physical supervision and is without the use of cameras and body sensors, which is less invasive in terms of patient safety and user comfort.
